Pint is par for the course as Jamie Dornan joins sports stars
After a few hard rounds of golf, some of Ireland’s most well-known faces retired to the pub to relax.
Jamie Dornan, Brian O’Driscoll and Darren Clarke enjoyed a few drinks after their practice rounds ahead of the start of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland.
“Had to seriously breathe in with this Norn Iron stud. Such a great guy,” Darren captioned a snap of him with the 50 Shades of Grey star.
Part of the weekend’s competition includes a Pro-Am event, which sees golfing pros paired with famous amateurs. They will compete on some of the world’s oldest and most prestigious courses at St Andrews, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns.
This is O’Driscoll’s second year to compete at the event, making him an experienced team-mate for his partner Gary Hurley.
The Waterford man is making his professional debut at the competition after a successful summer as an amateur player.
However, O’Driscoll joked that Hurley has a tough job on his hands being paired with him.
“Honoured to get to play with Gary Hurley on his pro debut. He’ll need extensive physio work after this tournament for his broken back,” the former Ireland skipper tweeted.
Fifty Shades of Grey actor Jamie Dornan was
another famous face making his return to St Andrews, along with crooner Ronan Keating and home-grown golf star Shane Lowry.
Meanwhile, Jockey AP McCoy was also spotted horsing around during the practice rounds, getting a piggy-back from his partner Graeme McDowell.
