Temperatures hit 19C yesterday as 100 runners took to the rocky hills of Ardgillan Castle in Balbriggan.
Family members of all ages made the most of the clear skies for Saturday's parkrun in Skerries as a mix of veterans and newbies pulled on their running shoes.
Marguerite Mulhall (45) and her daughter Aoibhe (15) have been going on runs for the past few weeks, and the newcomers think it's great.
"I've just started doing the parkruns. We live near Ardgillan Castle. That's the seventh one I've done, it was fabulous," said Marguerite.
"I got a new personal best so I'm pleased with that.
Running is in the family as her husband has completed marathons in the US.
Marguerite's son Cormac (17) was on his first run.
Running director Mark Tobin (44), from Baldoyle, said it was "very nice to have great weather this time of year".
He has been doing parkruns for three years.
Rachael Clifford ran with her friend Cara Cochrane.
"It's very well organised. I used to run before so I'm just getting back into it," said Rachael.
