Papers' revenue falls

REVENUES in Ireland at regional title publisher Johnston Press dropped by 19pc last year to £11m (€12.8m).

The group, which owns the Leinster Leader and the Donegal Democrat along with UK titles including the Yorkshire Post, also indicated a negative outlook for the beginning of 2011 after UK spending cuts affected advertising revenue.

Total advertising for group the first nine weeks of 2011 fell 11.4pc.
