Pair consent to loans judgment

A COUPLE have consented to judgment against them for €3.5m over unpaid loans relating to six residential investment properties in Donnybrook, Dublin.

A postponement of execution of the judgment orders has been granted by the Commercial Court for six months.

Bank of Ireland brought proceedings against Karl and Fiona Butler, Linden, Brighton Road, Foxrock, Dublin, arising from a loan facility of September 2009. It was given to them to restructure a refinancing facility relating to six properties in Donnybrook.

Mr Justice Kelly entered judgment in the sum of €3,580,468, plus costs, and granted a six-month stay on execution.

Giffords hubby writing a book

The husband of former Arizona US Representative Gabrielle Giffords is writing a children's book about a mouse.

Retired astronaut Mark Kelly's publisher announced that Mousetronaut: A Partially True Story will come out in October.

The book was inspired by an unflappable mouse on Kelly's first space shuttle flight.
