Officers quiz man over Tesco murders
A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions following the arrest and questioning of a man about a double murder.
The suspect, in his 30s, has been released from custody after being quizzed at Finglas garda station.
He was detained at a house in Kilbarrack on suspicion of withholding information about the murders of Mark Noonan (23) and his cousin Glen Murphy (19).
They were brutally gunned down at the Tesco petrol station at Clearwater in Finglas on November 23 last.
Gardai investigating the murders believe they had been the victims of mistaken identity.
A tracker device was planted in the rear of Mr Noonan's grey Avensis car, but it is believed the wrong car was selected.
Gardai believe the device had been planted on the orders of a major northside criminal. But his accomplices bungled the entire operation and two innocent men were murdered.
