UP-and-coming model Nas Ghaedi insists she won't be giving up her catwalk career when she qualifies as a nurse next year.
The beauty queen (20) is in her third year of a nursing degree at UCD -- but won't be hanging up her stilettos immediately after she graduates.
Nas, who took part in last year's Miss Ireland contest, says her long-term goal is to go into paediatric nursing and help sick children.
"I'm in my third year at UCD and really enjoying it," she says.
"It's not too hard to balance it with my modelling work at the moment because I'm not in placement right now, so it's just a matter of going to classes.
The Ranelagh-based model is also currently working as a hostess for Buck Whaley's nightclub on Leeson Street, alongside fellow beauties Michele McGrath, Leah O'Reilly and Jodie Wood.
Nas represented the venue in last year's Miss Ireland pageant and has maintained a good relationship with the club since then.
The half Iranian/half Irish model was subsequently signed up by Andrea Roche as one of the girls on the books of her new agency, but has since moved to Assets.
And while Nas admits she thoroughly enjoying taking part in last year's Miss Ireland contest, she is reluctant to put herself through the experience again.
"It was great fun at the time but I don't know if I would go into it again. I came in the top five and it's been great for opening doors for me.
"I haven't really thought about it too much so I'm not sure but I'll probably just stick to the agency work I get for now. I'm quite busy between that and working on the door at Bucks, so I have my hands full," she adds.
Nas is currently single and says she's too busy with her modelling career to even think about looking for love.
