WEATHER presenter Nuala Carey has said that her super-sub stint on Winning Streak was "one of the biggest challenges of my career to date".
The RTÉ presenter joined Marty Whelan for a cameo appearance on the show last month.
Regular host Sinead Kennedy was tying the knot, so Carey had some big boots to fill. First she had to wipe the mud off her own though, having only returned from the National Ploughing Championships in Co Laois.
"I couldn't have been happier if I had spun the wheel myself and won a million euro," Nuala said of her appearance on the long-running game show.
"It was a dream come true for me to work on the show, and I enjoyed every single second of it.
"I loved rehearsing in studio the week before, and then on the day itself meeting our contestants and their families," she said.
She was thrilled at the prospect of giving away money to the lucky participants, and she isn't finished yet with the news that she will be back for more Lotto duties over the coming weeks.
"That evening we gave away €305,000 and the winning will continue when I return to hosting the twice weekly National Lottery draws on RTÉ One, for the month of November."
As if her Winning Streak appearance wasn't enough, Nuala last month also featured as a celebrity chef at a charity event to raise money for people that suffer from epilepsy.
Also appearing on the show were radio personality Rick O'Shea, Irish Rugby coach Joe Schmidt and Gavin Duffy.
