NTR board gets roasting
bad day for
The board of utility firm NTR got a hostile reception in Dublin yesterday from shareholders angered at the company's strategy and allegations about corporate governance.
Two of the firm's largest shareholders, One51 and Pageant Holdings, read out statements at NTR's AGM.
They cited concerns about alleged conflicts of interest involving the board and objections about NTR's plans for a new European wind energy strategy. NTR boss Rosheen McGuckian (right) said the board was acting in shareholders' interests.
