No blunders as teenage beauty Tiffany crowned next queen of catwalks

An 18-year-old who lives in Malta has been crowned Britain's Next Top Model.

Tiffany Pisani, who was born in Wolverhampton, won the contest last night after a televised live final.

The 5ft 9in teenager beat off competition from Joy McLaren and Alisha White to win a contract with Models 1, a fashion shoot with Company magazine, and an advertising campaign with make-up firm Revlon.

Host Elle Macpherson avoided the problems experienced on the Australian version of the show last week, in which the wrong winner was announced and a full minute passed before the mistake was realised.

Pisani, who left university to pursue modelling, was initially speechless before telling viewers watching proceedings on Living: "I just want to say thanks to everyone who picked up the phone and voted for me, as well as the judges for their support throughout the show."
