New Facebook relationships

Facebook has added civil and domestic partnerships to the list of relationships that users can pick to best describe their romantic status.

The network also gives users the option to list themselves as single, married, in an open relationship or "it's complicated", among others.

The option is only available to users in the US, Canada, the UK, France and Australia, but Facebook says it is rolling out the feature in countries where users asked for it.



Telly reporter talks gibberish

A TV reporter who lapsed into gibberish during a live shot outside the Grammys suffered a migraine, her doctors have said.

KCBS-TV's Serene Branson was reporting in LA on the award show when her speech became incoherent. The incident sparked internet speculation that Ms Branson had suffered an on-air stroke, but a brain scan and blood tests ruled it out.



Plane flies like hummingbird

A US company says it has demonstrated controlled precision hovering and fast-forward flight by a camera-equipped micro aircraft that flies like a hummingbird.

AeroVironment's Nano Hummingbird uses only its two flapping wings for propulsion and control.
