Nama redeems €1bn of debt
The National Asset Management Agency (Nama) has paid back another €1bn of its senior bonds. It is the agency's first redemption of this year.
This brings to €17.6bn the amount of senior debt redeemed to date - 58pc of the €30.2bn of debt originally issued in 2010 and 2011 to acquire bank loans.
A decision was taken last July to speed up the disposal of assets to repay 80pc of its €30.2bn of senior debt by the end of next year.
