My daughter's a star, but I won't wear Dubs blue
Her daughter may be a Dublin All-Star lining out in the Ladies Football All-Ireland on Sunday, but mum Mary McGrath will not be wearing blue.
"I don't wear a Dublin jersey," explained the Clare native, whose daughter Siobhan (26) is a defender for the Dublin ladies team.
But it's not Mary's Banner County loyalties stopping her wearing a blue jersey. Rather, as the Tallaght mum puts it, it's because "I'm very low-key".
It is all sport in her household as her husband John played inter-county football for Clare and now so does her son Shane (29). Despite this, there is no division in the sporting house, Mary says.
"If they both have games on I'll go to one and John will go to the other," she added.
Even though she will not be togging out in a Dubs shirt, she will slip a bracelet on.
