Muddy good fun to raise cash for children's charity

It's muddy good fun -- all in the name of charity.

Last-minute volunteers are needed to take part in the dirtiest fun run next Saturday, March 26, at Moyvalley Hotel and Golf Resort in Kildare.

And for the first time there will be a mini-Mud Run for younger participants, aged 8-12, called Mud Kidz. All money raised will go to Barnardos children's charity.

Mud Run takes place over a 5km course through mud pits, water holes and over a series of obstacles guaranteed to leave participants dirty, muddy and smiling.

Mud Kidz will be run over a shorter course of 750m but will still have all the thrills and spills to keep even the most lively kids entertained.

Cost of registration for Mud Run is €30 for individuals. Entry for Mud Kidz is a donation of €10.

Novelty prizes for the first male and female to finish will be presented as well as prizes for the cleanest, dirtiest and first group to cross the finishing line.

All participants will get a special Mud Run T-shirt.
