M&S shoppers to raise funds

CHARITY

SHOPPERS are being urged to dig a little deeper at Marks & Spencer's tills over next two months and support a worthy cause.

The Down Syndrome Ireland collection boxes will be situated at till points in the children's department in 16 M&S stores across Ireland until the end of August.

Pictured at the launch of the M&S partnership with Down Syndrome Ireland for the back to school period are five-year-olds Adam Cowzer and Amy Conroy.

The charity represents and supports 3,500 members through a national team and 25 local branches nationwide, and is substantially funded through donations and national fundraising events. This is the second year M&S has worked with Down Syndrome Ireland.

"M&S very kindly helped Down Syndrome Ireland raise vital funds to support our members all over Ireland," the charity said, adding: "A fantastic amount of €2,831 was raised last year."
