A MOTHER of five who put a set of keys down her top after they were thrown at her has admitted to obstructing gardai.
Ellen McDonagh (31) came upon an incident where gardai were trying to execute a bench warrant.
A court heard there was an attempt to block a garda car with another vehicle, and when the car keys were thrown at McDonagh she put them down her top.
Judge David McHugh ordered McDonagh to enter into a peace bond for six months.
The defendant, of St Mary's Halting Site in Finglas, admitted before Blanchardstown District Court to obstruction near her home on October 27.
Sergeant Mary Doherty said gardai were at the halting site trying to execute a bench warrant.
Sgt Doherty said there was an attempt to block the garda car, groups of men were shouting to block gardai, and McDonagh put the car keys down her top.
Defence solicitor Simon Fleming said McDonagh, a married woman with five children, came upon an incident where gardai were trying to execute a bench warrant, and there were a large number of people around.
Mr Fleming also said McDonagh didn't know much about what was going on, and foolishly got involved.
