Missing Faith's mobile is traced to Dublin suburb

A PHONE belonging to missing 14- year-old Faith Duggan has been traced to Tallaght -- but it hasn't been turned on in days.

The family of the Kilkenny youngster today pleaded with her to make contact, as the search extended into its fifth day.

The teenager was last seen by her family asleep in her bedroom in the early hours of Saturday .

Faith's parents are extremely concerned after her mobile phone was traced by gardai to the Tallaght area of south Dublin.

Bubbly

But they don't believe she has any friends or acquaintances there.

The missing girl's father Noel described his daughter as a "bright" girl who knew the difference between right and wrong.

"All we want is Faith back home safe," he said.

He described his daughter as "fantastic looking, bright and bubbly, cheerful and outgoing" and revealed how she had been in "great form" and had helped him while he worked on his computer on Friday evening.

She was discovered missing at around 1.30am on Saturday after he returned home and checked her room only to discover that she was no longer there.

Her family spent much of Saturday sending messages to Faith's phone and at one point they all delivered.

Her father then rang her phone but found it had been switched off and contact hasn't been made since.

Faith's family are growing increasingly anxious with every passing day.

"The longer it goes on, the more worried we are getting," her father added.

"Faith had no boyfriend we know of and her friends have all been helping with the appeal.

Faith is a student at Loreto secondary school in Kilkenny and her schoolmates are currently on mid-term break from school.

A Facebook campaign has been initiated in a bid to trace the young teen's whereabouts and many of her friends have posted messages urging her to come home.

"Jesus I ask you to be with Faith and walk with her back to safety. Be her guiding light home," one friend of the missing teen posted.

The group has already amassed over 2,000 members.

Faith is described as tall and slim, around 5ft 6ins, with brown eyes and has dull blonde hair which she wears in three sections with a long fringe to the left.

Scratch

When last seen, it is believed she was wearing a black and white hoodie, but she may have changed her clothes since then. She also has a slight scratch on her forehead and cheek.

Anyone with any information on the missing teen is asked to contact the Gardai in Kilkenny on 056-7775000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
