THE holiday is over for tax cheat Mick Wallace who will this week try and "patch things up" with his independent colleagues.
The under-fire TD returned from his jaunt to Poland -- and was met with a hefty €280 parking fine.
The Herald revealed on Monday that Aer Lingus has launched an official probe after Mr Wallace's €60,000 jeep was parked illegally in its private staff car park.
It's understood that the airline's bosses are "suspicious" as to how the shamed developer gained access to the employees' car park.
Coincidentally, the 4X4 BMW was parked next to the cargo section -- the location where his close friend and Dublin North TD, Clare Daly, previously worked.
Ms Daly has consistently refused to return the Herald's calls over the issue.
Mr Wallace was among the tens of thousands of Irish fans who turned out to watch the 'boys in green' crash out of Euro 2012 against Italy on Monday night.
He posed with fans in a green T shirt -- just two weeks after it emerged he cheated the taxman out of €1.4m.
Mr Wallace made an appearance in the Dail yesterday, with sources close to him claiming that he will attempt to "patch things up" with some of his one-time allies in the Technical Group.
Meanwhile, the Oireachtas group tasked with investigating the tax scandal was this week continuing to devise possible sanctions against Mr Wallace.
However, the most severe sanction that it can impose is a 30-day suspension without pay.
