Meet little Pat - Christine and Frank pay tribute with baby name
There was baby joy for Christine and Frank Lampard as they announced the arrival of their first child together.
The ITV presenter, originally from Newtownards in the North, welcomed a baby girl, sharing the happy news on social media yesterday.
The Loose Women host and her football manager husband of three years Frank (40) paid tribute to Frank's late mother, naming their baby daughter Patricia.
Frank's mother, who died in 2008 from pneumonia, was named Pat.
Christine shared a snap of the happy family from her hospital bed yesterday, clearly already smitten with the new arrival.
"Let us introduce you to our little girl. Patricia Charlotte Lampard! We're so in love," said Christine.
Doting dad Frank also shared the news on his Instagram account.
The former Chelsea star and soccer pundit is already dad to Luna (13) and Isla (11) from a previous relationship with model Elen Rivas.
Christine (39) announced her pregnancy in May. Before the birth of Patricia, the couple had kept themselves in the dark on the gender of their first child together.
However, Christine, a regular host on Lorraine, earlier revealed on the show she had a sneaky suspicion she would be giving birth to a baby girl.
"I think I know in my own head," she said. "But no, I don't officially. I think girl, but I'm saying that without anyone confirming it."
Coincidentally, 'Phoenix the Psychic Cat' featured on the ITV show before Christine bid farewell to ready herself for Patricia's arrival and predicted the presenter could expect a girl.
Christine told co-hosts how she was feeling a few nerves ahead of her new arrival.
"I feel really good. I feel a bit nervous now, I feel like I've been in a lovely bubble for the past few weeks on this show," she said. "Now that it's done, this is going to happen. But I feel good, very good."
Baby Patricia's older siblings have been patiently waiting for her to come into the world, with Christine previously saying they were "beside themselves" with excitement.
Christine and Frank were quickly inundated with well wishes from a host of famous faces and fans when they announced their good news.
Irish broadcaster Angela Scanlon, who welcomed her first daughter Ruby earlier this year, was a fan of the couple's choice of name.
"Biggest congrats beauty. What a gorgeous name," she said. Former Girls Aloud member Kimberley Walsh also wished the new mum well, telling her to "enjoy your baby bubble".
Fellow ITV hosts Holly Willoughby and Dermot O'Leary also sent their best to the new family.
