Massive US army deal

IRISH security firm Daon has signed a massive contract with the US army to assist in the processing of new recruits.

Daon was started by Dermot Desmond in 1999 and is one of the world leaders in biometric scanning technology.

The company, which has its headquarters in Dublin, is now a subcontractor on a major three-and-a-half year deal to help process applicants wishing to join the US armed forces and coast guard service.
