Marching against debt

A NATIONAL Day of Action is on the cards after the Executive Council of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions signed off on the proposal to demand a resolution of Ireland's bank debt problem.

Marches are to be held in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick, Sligo and Waterford on Saturday, February 9. The intention is to draw attention to the fact that "the burden of bank debt makes recovery impossible," said Congress General Secretary David Begg.
