Man hid in garden after 'pub argy bargy'

A FATHER of three hid in a garden after he and a friend got into some “argy bargy” with revellers in a pub, a court heard.

Sean Haide (30) thought plain clothes gardai were the men following him home.

Judge John Coughlan fined Haide €500 and imposed an eight month suspended sentence.

The defendant, of Cloonmore Crescent in Tallaght, admitted before Tallaght District Court to trespass and damaging the glass visor of a motorbike at Woodfield in Knocklyon on November 21, 2013. Solicitor Michael Hennessy said Haide ran into the garden when an unmarked patrol car passed him as he thought gardai were a group of men he’d had an argument with in the pub. He said Haide had €80 to pay for the damage to the motorbike, though he didn’t cause it.
