Man fined for calling gardai 'scum'
A REVELLER roared at gardai and called them "f**kin sc*m" after he tried to intervene in the arrest of another individual, a court heard.
Aaron McLoughlin (23) was very drunk at the time.
Judge David McHugh fined McLoughlin €100.
The defendant, of Dunsoghly Grove in Finglas, admitted before Blanchardstown District Court to public drunkenness and threatening and abusive behaviour at Jamestown Road in Finglas on June 15 last.
Sergeant Walter Sweeney said gardai were trying to arrest another individual when McLoughlin intervened and shouted at officers, calling them "f**kin sc*m" and telling them to "f**k off" and "f**k you".
The court heard McLoughlin has never been in trouble before.
