aN electrician has admitted dangerous driving causing the death of an elderly woman in north Dublin.
Carl Feighery (32) pleaded guilty to causing the death of Rose Douglas in an incident in Finglas in January last year.
Judge Mary Ellen Ring adjourned sentencing to next March at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
Feighery, with an address at Millbourne Crescent, Ashbourne, Co Meath is charged with the offence at North Road, Finglas on January 9, 2013.
The charge is under Section 53 (1) of the Road Traffic Act.
The accused entered his plea at his arraignment today.
He did not otherwise address the court during the brief hearing.
Judge Mary Ellen Ring remanded Feighery on continuing bail to March 4, 2015 when all evidence in the case will be heard.
Diarmuid Collins BL prosecuting said there was no objection to bail and asked the court to order a victim impact report for the sentence date.
The accused had been sent forward to the circuit court earlier this year from Blanchardstown District Court.
Ms Douglas, a parish worker in her 70s, was struck as she crossed the road not far from her home at 11am. She was pronounced dead in hospital.
