The owner of the shop that sold the €17m winning EuroMillions jackpot ticket this week is planning to take staff out for a big celebration.
Alan Mulroy, owner of Mulroy's Londis in Castlebar, Co Mayo, said there was a "great buzz" around the town as locals speculated as to who the winner could be.
"We are all delighted, today is fantastic. There's a great buzz here and it's great for Castlebar," he said.
"I feel it could be someone local who won because we do a lot of business locally with people coming in doing the Lotto. That's my presumption anyway.
"Once we get over this weekend, we'll treat the staff. We'll bring them out next weekend or the weekend after for a big celebration.
"It's a lucky, lucky town, probably the luckiest town in Europe."
To celebrate, finger food and coffee were doled out at Mulroy's, while a DJ plied his trade.
The owner of the "golden" Quick Pick ticket on Tuesday has contacted the National Lottery and arrangements will be made for it to be claimed.
