A WOMAN who fell under a Luas tram in Dublin remains in a critical condition today.
Named locally as Ann Marie McQuillan, the 32-year-old is believed to have fallen beside the tram as it pulled into the Blackhorse platform in Inchicore on Thursday night.
She was caught between the platform and the tram and sustained serious head and body injuries.
A Dublin Fire Brigade ambulance paramedic crew tended her at the scene and she was eventually freed from under the tram before being rushed to hospital.
Family members at the McQuillan home in Drumcairn, Tallaght, did not wish to comment on Ann Marie's condition except to say that it is "not good".
The area around the Luas stop was immediately sealed off for a forensic examination and gardai and Luas investigators are examining CCTV footage.
No passengers or the driver of the train were injured in the incident.
