HER character on RTE hit show Love/Hate may at the heart of the current feud between Nidge and Fran, but Denise McCormack will next hit our screens on rival channel TV3.
McCormack will be appearing in Red Rock, the new soap that Ballymount bosses hope will make up for the loss of Coronation Street and Emerdale to UTV in the new year.
Filming on the show - which will revolve around a Garda Station in a Dublin seaside town - begins this week.
According to TV3, the action will kick off on the day that "a long, dormant feud between two local families is brutally reignited", so it won't be much of an adjustment for McCormack whose Love/Hate days makes her well-prepared for the role.
McCormack's character in the RTE hit series, Linda - the wife of gang psycho Fran - took her own life after she was horrifically scarred by a pipe bomb attack carried out by Nidge, who she'd been sleeping with behind her husband's back.
Fran, played by Peter Coonan, learned of his late wife's cheating in the latest series, fuelling his war with his former gangland pal played by Tom Vaughan Lawlor.
Details of her Red Rock character are being kept under wraps for the time being.
In real life, Drimnagh native McCormack is a proud mum, giving birth to a baby boy - her second child - in March.
Other well-known names among the cast are Liam Carney who appeared in movies like Braveheart and Gangs of New York and Sean Mahon known for roles in Mr and Mrs Smith and Philomena.
Other actors that will feature in the soap are Cathy Belton, who also starred in Pilomena, and Andrea Irvine from films like The Boxer and Ella Enchanted.
TV3 boats that €7m project Red Rock is its "most ambitious commission ever".
