Lottery luck would
be Blooming lovely

THIS could be a very lucky bank holiday weekend.

The €11.5m jackpot in tonight’s Lotto draw is the highest in nearly three years, having been rolling over since April.

It means there has been no winner of the top prize for seven weeks.

The last time the jackpot was this high, a family from Co Mayo scooped more than €11m in September 2011 after spending €4 on a Quick Pick ticket at a EuroSpar shop.

BONANZA

The latest Lotto millionaire was a woman from Co Meath who scooped €6.5m last month.

Top model Roz Purcell was pictured at the Bloom Festival in Dublin’s Phoenix Park where details of this weekend’s jackpot bonanza were announced.

News of the bumper top prize is guaranteed to see very brisk sales of Lotto tickets throughout today.

The National Lottery reminded punters that they must play before 7.40pm to be in the draw - and in with a chance to scoop the huge prize.
