The hunt is on for a lucky player in Co Meath who is €500,000 better off after scooping the EuroMillions Plus jackpot in Tuesday night's draw.

It was the 10th Euro- Millions Plus top prize to be won so far this year.

The winning ticket was sold at Day Today News in the Johnstown Shopping Centre in Navan.

"It's the first time we've sold a major National Lottery prize-winning ticket in our 15 years of business," said Padraig Lonergan, who co-owns the shop with Philip Keegan.

"We can't wait to spread the news to our customers.

"Most of our trade comes from the local area, and more so since the current health restrictions, so I'd guess it's a Navan local.

"I hope the €500,000 brings them a whole lot of happiness."

The winning EuroMillions Plus numbers for Tuesday's draw were 03, 08, 09, 19 and 49.

The winning ticket was sold on Tuesday.

There was no winner of the €48,838,406 EuroMillions jackpot, which rolls over to an estimated €55m for tomorrow's draw.
