lawRemote student plan wins Bold Ideas gong
A University College Cork law student has scooped an award for her e-internship idea at a prestigious event hosted by law firm A&L Goodbody.
Lia Boyland was presented with the award by Education Minister Ruairi Quinn (right) after legal e-internship programme, which would allow students to conduct research for law firms remotely, impressed the judges at the Bold Ideas award.
She proposed that students could use digital and online tools such as Skype and other platforms to communicate with lawyers while studying for their legal qualifications.
Along with an internship at one of A&L Goodbody's firms around the world, Ms Boyand also secured €3,000 in cash.
