FOOTBALL fans are being urged to grab their last chance to sign up for the first-ever Walk Of Dreams.
The event, the brainchild of Herald columnist and legendary broadcaster John Giles, will see thousands of people join forces to celebrate Irish football on Sunday, March 27.
More than 1,000 football clubs representing their areas will join the 3pm walk in 14 different locations across the country to raise funds for the John Giles Foundation.
In Dublin, participants will stroll from Fitzwilliam Street to the Aviva Stadium, via Ringsend.
And the former Manchester United, Leeds United and Ireland player has been delighted by the response so far to the inaugural event.
He said:"This is the first time the Football Community in Ireland will come together in what promises to be a very special day and I am delighted to be part of it.
"All over Ireland, people who love the game will walk together to celebrate the game and demonstrate the importance of football in Irish communities."
The deadline is looming for would-be walkers to sign up for the event. If you would like to be part of the Leinster Walk of Dreams, in association with 3, register at www.johngilesfoundation.com before 6pm on Sunday, March firstname.lastname@example.org
