Keeley to team up with Sienna for new movie

HIS What Richard Did co-star Jack Reynor has been taking America by storm and now Sam Keeley is set to win over Hollywood.

The Irish actor has been cast to star alongside Oscar nominee Bradley Cooper in the film Chef.

Omar Sy and Sienna Miller are also being lined up to feature in the silver screen production, which tells the story of Adam Jones, a hard-living, Paris-based chef who is trying to rebuild his career and win a three-star Michelin rating.

Tullamore native Sam will take the role of David, recruited to work in Adam's kitchen.

Sam first broke into the industry with his role in The Other Side of Sleep, before he landed the part of Jamie in Misfits, the long-lost brother of Robert Sheehan's character.

He made his feature debut Stateside in 2012's This Must Be The Place with heavyweight Sean Penn and Bono's daughter Eve Hewson.

He completed shooting opposite Brendan Gleeson, Cillian Murphy and Chris Hemsworth on In the Heart of the Sea, directed by Ron Howard, in March.

The film is based on real events in the 1800s that inspired Herman Melville's classic novel Moby Dick and was partly shot in the Canary Islands.

"I've been really fortunate in that I've had the chance to work on some incredible projects with incredible people," Sam said.

"I just finished filming with Ron and that was the most intense experience."

Fans will also see Sam in the coming months in Monsters: Dark Continent, the sequel to Gareth Evans' sci-fi thriller.
