Katie boxes clever as profits close in on million euro mark
Profits at the firm owned by the golden girl of Irish sport, Katie Taylor, are quickly hurtling towards the €1m mark.
The latest accounts for her KT Sports Ltd show accumulated profits jumped by over €300,000 last year, going from €642,961 to €946,892.
The filings just lodged show that the 28-year-old is boxing clever outside the ring after her 2012 London Olympics triumph.
The cash pile at her firm has jumped by over €200,000, going from €483,385 to €686,012 up to June last.
The profits increased by €303,931 last year, endorsing Katie's decision to remain an amateur boxer as she now focuses on next year's Olympics in Rio.
The profit represents a 67pc increase on the €180,996 recorded in 2013.
The firm's fortunes have been boosted by Taylor's deals with KPMG, Toyota, Lucozade, Aramark and Adidas.
Taylor also does a lot of charity work and is associated with the likes of Barnardos and Zest4Kids.
