Accumulated profits at the media firm co-owned by Operation Transformation presenter Kathryn Thomas increased to more than €205,000 last year.

According to accounts just filed by the presenter's Aquarius Productions Ltd with the Companies Office, the firm's profits climbed by more than €22,000 from €184,997 to €207,847 in the 12 months to the end of February 2014.

The release of the presenter's accounts coincides with the busiest time of year for the in-demand broadcaster who is currently fronting two top-rated RTE shows, Operation Transformation and The Voice of Ireland.

The Voice is proving hugely popular thanks in part to its two new judges, Una Foden and Rachel Stevens, with more than 600,000 tuning in last Sunday week to watch the show, representing a 40pc share of that night's viewing audience.

Operation Transformation, which Carlow-born Ms Thomas began presenting in 2011, consistently averages half-a-million viewers.

The latest accounts show that Aquarius Productions Ltd's cash pile increased from €136,706 to €169,152 to the end of February last year.

Ms Thomas (36) set up the company in 2007 as her TV career blossomed.

The accounts, signed off last month, value the firm's intangible assets at €124,000.

loan

Ms Thomas, who also presented RTE's recent New Year celebrations, has provided an interest-free loan to the firm and €61,034 was owed by it to her at the end of February last year.

The popular personality first came to public notice through presenting the No Frontiers travel programme on RTE.

After that, she co-presented Winning Streak between 2009 and 2011 and took over with John Murray from the late Gerry Ryan as the presenters of Operation Transformation in 2011.

Ms Thomas' father, Gwynne Thomas, is a secretary of her firm.

The most recent accounts for his building firm, Thomas Thompson Holdings, show its losses increased to €5.982m in 2013.
