Jury considers shooting case

THE jury is considering its verdict in the case of a man accused of shooting his neighbour in the stomach and who was allegedly shot himself in the ensuing struggle.

Michael Hogan (49), with an address at Coney Meadows, Coneyborough, Co Kildare, has pleaded not guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to assault charges concerning Mr Derek Palmer at Corduff Place, Blanchardstown on September 13, 2008.



'Fan's threat' to star McGowan

A judge has ordered a man to stop contacting actress Rose McGowan, who said the fan threatened her agent.

The former Charmed star got an order preventing Louis S Santo III from contacting her or her agents.

A hearing to extend the order is due on March 11.



Couple reunite with children

A California couple has been reunited with their two young children, more than eight months after losing custody when naked pictures of the youngsters were found on the father's laptop.

Now, the family is planning to sue the child welfare agency.

The father and his wife were arrested briefly in June on suspicion of child pornography after the pictures were found among digital family photographs.
