In our article of April 20, 2012 entitled 'Dad sues writer over birth filming claims', we referred to a Circuit Court case brought against Mount Carmel Hospital by John McAuley.
It was implied in our article that Mr McAuley was required to stop filming due to a medical emergency involving clearance of the baby's airways.
Mr McAuley's solicitors have pointed out to us that there was no medical emergency at the relevant time and there was no clinical reason for Mr McAuley's filming of his daughter's birth to be interrupted.
We apologise to Mr McAuley for any incorrect inference created by our article.
