Jobs up for grabs in Canada and Oz

JOBS will be offered on the spot to attendees at the Working Abroad Expo next month as 50 companies from Australia and Canada attempt to lure skilled workers overseas.

The positions are being offered mainly in construction, engineering, healthcare and farming, but organisers say that there will be opportunities across all areas.

"These companies will literally be handing out jobs there and then, all people will need to bring along is a CV," said Expo director Stephen McLarnon.

The Canadian federal government has doubled the number of Experience Canada visa allocations to Ireland for 2012 to 5,350.

The Working Abroad Expo takes place on Saturday, 3 March and Sunday, 4 March in the RDS between 11am and 5pm and Cork's Silver Springs Hotel on 7 March from 12pm to 7pm. Full information is available on www.workingabroad-expo.com.
