It's time for Fingers to face music
WHAT more is to emerge about the dealings of rogue banker Michael Fingleton?
Taxpayers are by now well aware of a €1m bonus that the former Irish Nationwide chief has yet to repay, along with a €11,500 retirement watch he received.
Today, it emerged that he also ran up expenses of €12,000 for dental work, spent €48,000 at the K Club and incurred a €2,600 bill for a stay at London's exclusive Dorchester Hotel -- for himself and his wife.
Three years into the banking crisis, neither Fingleton nor fellow rogues Sean FitzPatrick and David Drumm have appeared in court.
Justice Minister Alan Shatter, meanwhile, is pursuing a referendum on judge's pay -- which is hardly the most pressing priority.
The public would much prefer to see the relentless pursuit of the Golden Circle who brought this country to its knees.
