Irish websites missing sales

Irish websites are losing out on a massive spend by Irish consumers because they're not using digital marketing tactics effectively, according to a new report.

The Irish online sales market is worth at least €4bn-a-year but research suggests three-quarters of purchases are made from foreign websites, the study by digital marketing experts 256 Media says. Every percentage point of sales revenue clawed back would therefore translate to a boost of at least €40m to the economy.
