Irish Life pays out s1bn
INSURANCE giant Irish Life has paid out more than €1bn to over 30,000 families for claims on policies that covered death, specified illness and income protection.
Cancer and heart conditions were the main reason for payouts on policies, the new survey shows. The biggest single cause of specified illness cover claims was breast cancer, with 85 claims.
In men, the biggest cause of claims was heart attack, with 54 claims, followed closely by prostate cancer, with 50 claims.
