Ireland 'most globalised' country in West
IRELAND is the world's second most globalised nation in terms of GDP, and remains the most globalised nation in the western world, according to new research.
Ernst & Young's latest Globalisation Index outlines that Ireland is forecast to maintain its overall second place ranking until at least 2015 as it has overtaken Singapore in the list.
The current top most globalised nations now include Hong Kong, Ireland, Singapore, Belgium and Sweden.
Mike McKerr, Managing Partner, Ireland, with Ernst & Young said that although Ireland has been hit hard by the global recession, the country is still perceived to be a leader in international trade.
