In Brief: Three in court on Coleen plot

THREE people were being sentenced today after Coleen Rooney was subjected to a £5,000 (¤5,950) blackmail plot over personal family photos on her stolen camera.

The cash was demanded from the wife of Manchester United and England striker Wayne Rooney in return for her camera.

The 400 photos showed the couple's son Kai, family holidays and their home.

Lee Platt (28) and Steven Malcolm (42) pleaded guilty to handling stolen goods and blackmail last December

Jennifer Green (25) admitted the single charge of handling.

Birth control by ultrasound

As birth control methods go, it sounds like one of the more extreme examples.

Scientists conducted experiments which showed that ultrasound effectively cut sperm counts in rats.

The equivalent outcome would result in reversible infertility in humans.

I still love Heidi admits Seal

Kiss From A Rose singer Seal has admitted that his love for his estranged wife Heidi Klum has "not waned one iota".

A week after the couple announced they were planning to separate, the British singer said he still loved the supermodel "with all my heart".

But in a candid interview, the 48-year-old said he did not know whether the couple would be able to resolve their differences and get back together.

"My love for her has not waned one iota," he said on Piers Morgan's CNN talk show.

"I love her with all my heart. How can you not love somebody that you have just spent eight years with?"
