She's been a fixture on the Irish fashion scene for years, but top model Roz Purcell said she feels more comfortable doing cooking demonstrations than strutting her stuff on the catwalk.

The 24 year old has become known for the healthy recipes on her blog Natural Born Feeder, some of which are now on the menu at Mooch on Dawson Street and she often does cooking features on Ireland AM and Xpose.

"I love doing demonstrations, I was on Ireland AM yesterday morning and they were asking me if I was nervous but to be honest I'd be more nervous doing fashion jobs," she told the Diary.

"I wouldn't really get nervous at all when I'm cooking on TV - it's so much fun.

"Mooch is going brilliantly, the feedback for my recipes is great, we actually just started a really nice gluten-free, sugar-free French toast today, so that's my new favourite.

"I'm always in there - I'm in the back kitchen making stuff up all the time," she added.

Roz has partnered with Florette's new Ready to Wok range and she said it's brilliant to find products that are convenient but healthy.

"I'll be putting up a few recipes on my blog using the new range, they're very convenient while being healthy which is an unusual thing to find," she said.

"It's great that there's lots more stuff coming out that are healthy but convenient.

"I know I'm always talking about making everything from scratch but there is a healthy balance," she added.

Meanwhile, her suit range called Scribe by Roz is set to launch at House of Fraser in the coming weeks.

On April 9, 10 and 11 there will be a style event where customers can get measured for her suits at the personal shopping suites in Dundrum Shopping Centre to launch the range.

"It's a great event to kick it off and I'll be popping in and out over the weekend. House of Fraser thinks it's great because they're based in Ireland and the UK as well. I'd love to expand, the enquiries are from people all over Ireland, not just Dublin - it'd be nice to be able to cater for them as well," she said.

"I'm hoping to expand my colours to red. Jennifer Aniston wore that deep red and I loved that and I want to do navy blue as well."

She has already racked up more than a few Irish celebrity fans including top model Sarah Morrissey and Fair City actress Vivienne Connolly.
