'I really thought I was too old for dance show' - Erin
Erin McGregor has said she never dreamt she could take on a show like Dancing With The Stars as she feared she'd be "too old".
The fitness instructor (36), who survived the dance-off for the third time on Sunday, said she always harboured a love for dancing, so competing on the show is a dream come true.
Conor McGregor's sister said she's a big fan of self-help book The Secret and credits it with helping her keep a balanced approach to life.
"Dancing is probably one of my first loves," she said.
"I put it out there to the universe a few years ago that I would love it, but I thought I was too old so when this opportunity came. I thought, 'That's the universe working for me'.
"I've been lucky in my life, so I feel that whatever comes my way next is kind of meant for me. I just leave it out there."
Now a veteran survivor of the dreaded dance-off, Erin revealed her secret to seeing off her competition, with Rob Heffernan exiting the programme on Sunday.
"With every dance I go out and I try to give it my best shot. If you're in the dance-off and that's possibly your last dance, well, you'd better go out there and enjoy every second of it," she said.
"It's like the last song in the nightclub and you think, 'Oh, no, it's going home time, I better get on the floor'. That's what it feels like."
Mum-of-two Erin, who is thrilled to have made it to the final four contestants, credits her family with being "a rock".
Her MMA star brother has been out to cheer her on at Ardmore, and she said she expects him to make another appearance before the show ends.
