Hotel room fouled by GAA guest in club stay
A GAA club has been banned from a Galway hotel after one of its players defecated in his bedroom.
The club from the midlands stayed in Flannery's Hotel, Dublin Road for an end of season break.
The hotel has confirmed that a number of the club's players disturbed other guests by banging on their bedroom doors in the early hours of the morning.
And a spokesperson for Flannery's also confirmed that a compensation deal is being agreed after one of the players defecated in his bedroom.
The spokesperson said: "The team were staying here over a recent weekend. There were a lot of complaints the next morning. Guests with children were complaining that people had been knocking and banging on their doors in the early hours of the morning.
"The only damage occurred in one particular room where a young gentleman who travelled with the club defecated in his room."
He added: "The club has since been in contact with the hotel to say this occurred as a result of medical condition and that the young man was subsequently hospitalised."
