HMV on the move on Grafton Street

HMV's new store on Grafton Street officially opens on Saturday at 9am.

HMV, which is owned by Hilco Capital, announced yesterday that it is moving from its current address on Grafton Street (above) to number 72.

To celebrate, it plans a day of special offers, live performances and entertainment at the new location. The offers will include 40pc off all vinyl records, €100 off Xbox One and PS4 consoles and Toshiba Blu-Ray players for just €9.99.

HMV is also offering €100 off Beats Solo 2 and Mixr headphones, €30 off Sennheiser Urbanite headphones, €10 off the Creative Muvo/Movo mini speaker and €5 off Sennheiser CX150 earphones.

"We're thrilled to have secured this new premises on Dublin's most popular retail street," said Hilco boss Larry Howard.

"The relocation marks the continuation of our expansion plans.
