A COMPANY which provides accounting and operational support to hedge funds is to create 300 jobs in Dublin.
The firm, HedgeServ, says it already has 230 employees in Ireland but plans a significant expansion.
HedgeServ currently provides services to clients with $130bn (€93.44bn) under administration. About two-thirds of the graduates it plans to hire will have backgrounds in accountancy.
Its chairman, Jim Kelly, said Ireland was the most capable jurisdiction for the expansion of the business. He said the company's growth in Dublin had exceeded all expectations.
The expansion at its offices in St Stephen's Green is backed by IDA Ireland and the new employees will be hired over the next two years.
