personalised messages of love, support and thanks will be projected on to an exterior wall of the Mater Hospital (right) over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend to thank all the hospital and nursing home staff who are working tirelessly to fight the pandemic.
Volunteers began collecting messages from the public yesterday and last night they were projected on one of the hospital's outer walls from 9pm until 2am.
The #DearHeroes campaign, is inviting the public to send their own messages of support.
The projection will be repeated for another two nights.
Participants can send their messages of support via dearheroes.ie or Twitter using the hashtag#DearHeroes.
The display will be recorded and posted on social media. The project, which came together this week, is a volunteer community-led collaboration between the Mater Hospital and ad agency Algorithm Creative Production Studio, CAVS Audio Visual Services, Mountain Productions and Splanc PR.
"We've been blown away by the dedication and selflessness of those battling at the frontline to help us through the outbreak," said campaign spokesperson Ciara Finn.
"We wanted to use our skill sets so we can all show our love and admiration for them."
