Green light for GoCars at railway stations
Rail customers can soon avail of GoCars at 13 stations around or near the capital.
From next Monday, September 2, 14 Iarnrod Eireann stations – 13 in the Dublin area and one in Cork – will have new GoCar terminals.
Nineteen vehicles will be available at these stations, with a further roll out if the programme proves successful.
Minister of State Alan Kelly launched the partnership between Iarnrod Eireann and GoCar at Heuston Station.
"I am delighted to see this co-operation between Iarnrod Eireann and GoCar to provide smarter travel options for members of the travelling public," he said.
"Having the availability of GoCars at train stations gives greater flexibility to those who may wish to take the train and then need a car to get to their onward destination," he added.
GoCars is a car-sharing service.
