Graham Norton wants to see an Immigrant of the Year Award.
The Cork-born TV host (right) made the light-hearted suggestion at the Irish Book Awards at the Bord Gas Energy Theatre.
The BBC presenter tweeted after the show: "Such a fun night in Dublin. Met so many lovely people and got a prize."
Norton was the toast of the ceremony where he took a non-fiction award for his second autobiography, The life and Loves of a He Devil.
While accepting the award on stage, Norton himself offered to host the Immigrant of the Year awards.
People applauded loudly as he accepted his award, and the reference struck a chord with the audience.
Also in attendance at the Irish Book Awards was Brian O'Driscoll, who picked up the accolade for Sport Book of the Year.
The rugby legend gave a touching tribute to wife Amy who has just given birth to her second child, telling her he loved her.
