Gas chief takes pay cut

THE chief executive of Bord Gais has told its board he will forgo payment of performance-related bonuses.

John Mullins said he will not accept the lump sums for 2010, 2011 and 2012.

Mr Mullins has also said he will reduce his salary immediately by 15pc to €250,000 from his contractual level of €294,000.

Bord na Mona's chief executive has also decided to waive his bonus for the past year.
